Ideas for iraq is a project created by Pedro Reyes for the Experiment Marathon in Reykjavik, Iceland. The exhibit is open to the public from May 15 to August 17, 2008 at the Reykjavik Art Museum.
Ideas for Iraq is a discussion forum focused on the Iraqi conflict. A seminar is held around a table cut in the shape of Iraq reminiscent of the maps used to strategize military attacks or missions. Small figurines represent civil and military objects, infrastructure, oil facilities, etc. These symbols are a visual aids for crisis management and conflict resolution. Experts in different disciplines are invited to participate. As most of the recent discourse about Iraq has been devoted to problems, we encourage you to focus on solutions. Please feel free to comment or contact us with new ideas.
